The Coronacrisis 2020 will change the business landscape. Online business presence is increasingly important. 30 of us got together, just before the Movement Control Order (MCO) for a dialogue on social media marketing.
Busy During MCO.
A few of us, working pro bono, set up the framework of an artisans digital mall that will be home to 50 artisans, and other local businesses. We curated a simple & affordable online mall to promote the rich array of their products to consumers countrywide.
We are also very grateful to our friends and contacts who came forward to support the Mall with value added services and events for the Mall visitors.
The Artisans Digital Mall.
We have many Proudly Malaysian Artisans producing exquisite products. Some may not have the digital savvy to conquer social media marketing. Getting and operating a reliable e-commerce platform needs resources and expertise.
In the past weeks, we visited (online) many artisans and appreciated the wide array of products available. We look forward to feature them at the up and coming digital mall.
Partnering with DCR Marketing.
The Artisans Digital Mall is a virtual mall real estate, and offers virtual space in the mall for monthly rental. I am delighted to partner DCR Marketing, a 15 year veteran, to operate the Mall. Our role is to ensure a good mix of tenants, attractive offers and consistent traffic to the Mall.
DCR Marketing has a strong base of merchant & customer base and tenants can subscribe extra services from DCR such as mail order programs, back-end fulfillment services and inventory management.

It is also the ticketing vendor for local institutions including International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), and venues such as PJ Live Arts Theater at Jaya One. Tickets sold on the platform are accessible via two sales channels, its online website, and offline presence through pop-up booths across 30 locations within the Klang Valley area.

Upayme, part of iServe Group, is simplifying the retail business. No need credit & debit card terminal. No need card plastic. No touch. No fuss. UPayMe transforms the merchant’s mobile phone into a universal virtual payment terminal. Its customers can choose Direct Link and even opt for Easy Payment Plan.
No plastic. No terminal. Just convenience.
We are working with Upayme to feature their best 10 weekly offers here.
The auditorium gives visitors to the Mall a preview of local talents from The Enfiniti Academy of Musical Theatre & Peforming Arts founded by Puan Sri Tiara Jacquelina and headed today by Joanna Bessey. Visitors can also catch snippets of comedies, events and activities presented by Goodtimes Ticketing.
We also have one virtual hall with vidcasts and webinars of interesting speakers and trainers. Martin Wong and his Smart Robie Chatbot give stock broking tips. Other regulars are The Alphonse Peter Legacy Series, The Covey Series by Sathiyan and Business Continuity Series by Yellowshorts.

Kirtanraw Art Gallery.
Kirtanraw got A for Art for his Form 3 exams, but his autism ended his further education. His parents were simple people working in government in Kedah. Here is art with a strong memorable, sticky story. The art itself is detailed & deep, and is filled with layers of emotions. Kirtanraw sees something in his beautiful mind and does not stop painting till he has fully expressed his imagination. It is not just a picture but all sorts of imaginable wonders.
Busk Stop for Local Artists.
The Mall has a simple Busk Stop for local talents to share their performance. Our first feature artist is Chilloq Malaysia. Chilloq is a newly formed band that consist of 6 people from different background who united for their passion in music. https://www.facebook.com/chilloqmalaysia/. Their Stay Home Series is entertaining my readers in the social media during MCO.
POSH Fashion Stop for Local Talents.
We spoke to Sereen Teh CEO of POSH Nail Spa to host a virtual fashion stop at the Mall for the enjoyment of its visitors. Founder of POSH, Sereen started her nail care business with one staff with two chairs only. Today, after 5 years, there are now 4 spa outlets across the Klang Valley.
