Sereen Eng, Founder of POSH Nail Spa, and I connected as we complied with the country’s Movement Control Order (MCO). The MCO is a preventive measure of the federal government of Malaysia towards the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) on 18 March 2020, thus “movement control” was implemented throughout the country.
Social distancing and nail spa don’t mix, ya. Sereen had the foresight to diversify her business with the introduction of Agape body care products.
The products range from beauty, body care, nail care to wellness. Part of the proceeds goes to the Orang Asli community. Products can be delivered, or picked up when the spa reopens. Please visit https://agape.my/ for more product details or WhatsApp POSH at 012-612 8219.
POSH is offering discounts on nail services if customers book ahead. Contact POSH for more details. WhatsApp POSH at 012-612 8219.
Tough Times Don’t Last. Tough People Do.
Kudos to Sereen Eng and the POSH team, for staying positive and thinking out of the box, to sustain the business. It will take some effort to regain customer confidence, and income momentum.
This is a tough time for the country, its people and businesses. Since 1970, there were 3 down turns in the annual real GDP growth in 1987, 1997 and 2009.
The current virus outbreak that is now at pandemic levels, has forced a slow down in many countries, and Malaysia’s economy. We need to work together to re-group and re-strategise how to sustain our businesses.
