Freda is down to earth and humble about her achievements. She says that she is naturally curious and this draws out the best from her guests. Passion drives her, and keeps her consistently at the top of her game.

Malcolm Gladwell in his book, The Outliers: The Story of Success, said that success is not just about innate ability. It’s combined with a number of key factors such as opportunity, meaningful hard work (10,000 hours to gain mastery), and your cultural legacy. Random factors of chance, such as when and where you were born can influence the opportunities you have.

Freda Liu is dedicated and hard working. She is steadfast in her career, honing her knowledge & skills over the past 30+ years, and definitely has her 10,000 hours of mastery. Her track record is impeccable and defines her as proven achiever, and in Gladwell’s terms, an Outlier.

Gladwell in his other book The Tipping Point talked about the Law of the Few. With a good proposition, what he calls “Stickiness Factor”, and solid “Context”, a tipping point can be achieved with a few key people – Connectors, Maven and Salesman. The tipping point is that magic moment when an idea, trend, or social behaivor crosses a threshold, tips, and spreads like wildfire.

Over the years, Freda has created “magic” in her career:

  • Built a strong personal brand that is immediately recognizable and what Gladwell terms as “sticky“. She knows the who’s who in the industry, and well versed about the business scene in Malaysia and abroad.
  • Has a wide and connected network from all her interviews, social interactions and business contacts. She also has a vibrant presence online personally and for her work.
  • Is sought after as an expert (or maven) in public relations, business views, community agendas and more.

Respect & Salute.

Freda Liu deserves her success. She is hard working, dedicated and genuine. I am impressed and respectful. She done so much and remains engaged & humble. Proudly Malaysian and an Icon.
